Duda Visits Southeast Asia to Boost Ties

Poland

Polish President Andrzej Duda, accompanied by First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda, will visit Malaysia and Singapore from June 9–13, marking the first presidential visit to Malaysia in 26 years. Presidential aide Wojciech Kolarski said the visit aims to promote Poland as a successful and attractive investment destination, CE Report quotes PAP

Duda will meet with business leaders, attend a forum in Singapore co-organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), and showcase Polish military equipment in Port Dickson, Malaysia. Talks are also ongoing about opening Malaysia’s market to Polish agricultural products.

The visit underscores Poland’s growing interest in Southeast Asia, a region Kolarski described as increasingly important both economically and politically. Duda will also address security concerns tied to Russia’s war in Ukraine, reaffirming Poland’s stance on ending the conflict by stopping Russian aggression.

Kolarski emphasized that the visit is not about signing deals but fostering an environment for stronger partnerships and future investments.
