Polish President Andrzej Duda held a "very good" phone call with former U.S. President Donald Trump, discussing regional security following the B9 Summit in Vilnius and ahead of the upcoming NATO Summit in The Hague. Duda emphasized the need to increase defense spending among NATO members, CE Report quotes PAP

He also reassured Trump that the recent election of conservative candidate Karol Nawrocki ensures the continuation of Poland’s strong transatlantic ties and close cooperation with the U.S. Nawrocki, backed by the Law and Justice (PiS) party, narrowly defeated Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski and will assume office on August 6.
