Duda Endorses Nawrocki
Polish President Andrzej Duda publicly endorsed Karol Nawrocki in the upcoming presidential elections, calling it a critical moment for the country. "I will vote for Karol Nawrocki because he will build a fair, strong Poland and strengthen Euro-Atlantic ties," Duda said on Sunday, CE Report quotes PAP
The president urged 10 million voters to back Nawrocki, criticizing Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government for allegedly undermining media freedom and reshaping the National Prosecutor’s Office, which Duda said threatens election legitimacy.
Addressing Nawrocki’s supporters, Duda called for mobilization similar to his own successful campaigns in 2015 and 2020. He also noted that Nawrocki, like PiS, faces financial constraints in campaigning.
"Go and show support, we must win! Long live Poland!" Duda concluded.
Nawrocki is among the leading candidates, alongside Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski and far-right Confederation party's Slawomir Mentzen.
