Croatian Air Force conducts overnight emergency medical airlift

Military pilots of the Croatian Air Force carried out an overnight emergency medical evacuation using a Mi-171Sh helicopter, transporting a critically ill foreign national and a medical team from Dubrovnik General Hospital to the University Hospital Centre Split, before continuing the flight to Dubrava University Hospital in Zagreb for further urgent treatment.

At the request of the healthcare system, the Croatian Air Force helicopter crew completed the rapid and safe transfer of the patient between the three medical institutions, CE Report informs via the Defence Ministry of Croatia's official website.

The helicopter crew stressed that every emergency medical flight carries great responsibility because every minute is crucial, adding that members of the Croatian Air Force are ready at all times to provide support to citizens when it is needed most.

During this overnight mission, the crew once again demonstrated a high level of readiness, professionalism and expertise by safely transporting the critically ill patient between the three hospitals under nighttime conditions.
