This day is observed every year in order to raise awareness about the prevention of rabies and to emphasize the importance of defeating this terrible disease.

Rabies remains a major concern worldwide, claiming thousands of lives each year. Rabies, a disease that can be transmitted from animals to humans, initially shows some symptoms such as flu, fever, headache, and restlessness in the whole body. On average, a person dies within 1-3 months after contracting the disease.
