Serbian adviser greets children from Bosnia, Montenegro
The adviser to the Serbian president for regional affairs, Miloš Vučević, received children of Serbian nationality from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro who are visiting Belgrade.
"Dear children from Prijedor, Republika Srpska, Principovo Grahovo, and dear guests and friends from Boka, dear people of Herceg Novi, happy Christmas Eve morning. It is an honor for me, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, to greet you, to wish you a Happy New Year, and above all, a joyful celebration of the Nativity of Christ, a date that marks the beginning of a new era, a new time, and the salvation of humankind," Vučević said during the reception for the children at the Presidency of Serbia.
He wished the children and their families peace and prosperity, encouraged them to preserve the Serbian people in the regions where they live, and urged them never to be ashamed of belonging to the Serbian and Christian heritage, CE Report quotes FENA.
"As long as we write and speak the Serbian language and as long as we belong to our church and our faith, the Serbian name and surname will exist, so that it is not forgotten, so that it is remembered, and so that you can teach your children and grandchildren the same in the future," Vučević added.
Children of Serbian nationality from Prijedor, Bosansko Grahovo, and Herceg Novi, visiting Belgrade for the Christmas holidays, were presented with appropriate gifts.
Earlier, they were also received by Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, and they visited the residence of Princess Ljubica.
