According to a statement from the municipality, Mayor Adem Uzun, who visited the museum, examined the exhibits and received information from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Işın Fırat, President of the Traditional Anatolian Culture and Arts Workshops Academy.

The museum, which aims to keep Seljuk heritage alive, is planned to open to visitors in 2027 following the completion of the “Kale Project," CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

In the statement, Mayor Uzun highlighted the historical and cultural importance of Sivas during the Seljuk period.

Uzun emphasized that preserving the values of Seljuk civilization and passing them on to future generations is of great importance.

As reported by CE Report, noting that a workshop for the “Kale Project” was held recently, Uzun said:

“One of the ideas that emerged during our workshop was the establishment of a ‘Seljuk Museum.’ Professor Işın Fırat also participated in that workshop and made significant contributions with his ideas. With the ‘Once Upon a Time Seljuk Museum’ that we implemented together with our professor, we have produced the first work of our project. Our professor has truly done a wonderful job. I would like to thank him for his efforts. This museum, which will serve as an example for Turkey, may it bring prosperity to our city.”
