Several Christmas trees created by students, inmates, and companies from Arad and displayed over the past two weeks at the Arad Museum Complex, Romania, will be donated to families with limited financial means in the county.

The charitable event “Storybook Christmas Trees” was organized for the fourth consecutive year and involved the creation of Christmas trees with the help of private companies, schools, and public institutions. These trees were exhibited at the Arad museum, after which the creations will be delivered to the homes of families registered with the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

This year, 15 Christmas trees were displayed at the museum, two of which were created by inmates from Arad Penitentiary, who mainly used recycled materials.

“This is the fourth year we have organized this charitable event. We have managed to bring together the business community, public institutions, and schoolchildren with the desire to offer smiles, hope, and a warmer Christmas to those in need,” Bogdan Blaga, deputy director of the Arad Museum Complex, told AGERPRES on Monday.

He added that the “Storybook Christmas Trees” exhibition attracted hundreds of visitors over the two-week period, and the Christmas trees will be delivered to the selected families in the coming days.
