Selena Gomez hosted the third annual gala for the Rare Impact Fund, the foundation she created with mental health as her top priority.
The Rare Impact Fund Benefit took place in Los Angeles to support the foundation, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
The singer, actress, and producer launched it in 2020 with the goal of raising $100 million for organizations that enhance global access to mental health services and youth education.
Jimmy Kimmel hosted the evening, with performances by Laufey and The Marías.
At the start of the event, Gomez admitted that, despite speaking publicly about mental health for years (including her own experiences), “it’s still a strange and difficult topic.”
She emphasized, “Tonight we will show that progress is possible.”
