Jurassic World Tops Box Office in Two Weeks

“Jurassic World – The Rebirth” wins the weekend blockbuster derby:

According to Cinetel data, the seventh chapter in the Jurassic Park franchise, directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, stays at the top of the box office, CE Report quotes ANSA.

It earned another €1,678,501, bringing its total to €7.2 million (€7,202,756) after two weeks in theaters, beating the debut of Superman – the new superhero movie directed by James Gunn, with David Corenswet as the Man of Steel – which made €1,995,142 in five days.

Falling to third place is F1, the action film by Joseph Kosinski set in the Formula 1 world, with Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to help his struggling team. It made €448,273 over the weekend, with a three-week total of €4.5 million (€4,523,997).

Fourth place goes to How to Train Your Dragon, earning €285,783 for a total of €8.3 million (€8,332,254), followed by Elio, which made €195,835, reaching over €2 million (€2,149,796) after four weeks.

In sixth position is the phenomenon Lilo & Stitch, which took in €152,921 this weekend, but is nearing a massive €22 million total (€21,786,816).

Seventh place goes to 28 Years Later, by Danny Boyle – the third film in the series that began with 28 Days Later (2002) and continued with 28 Weeks Later (2007) – earning €67,504, with a total of €1,546,724.

In eighth is new horror debut I Play Mother – The Evil Game, directed by Brad Watson, with €48,763, followed by another newcomer, Paul – A Penguin to Save, a kids’ action movie, with around €30,000 (€29,996).

Rounding out the top 10, rising all the way from 21st place, is FolleMente, the record-breaking romantic comedy by Paolo Genovese, which earned €29,629 this weekend, bringing its total to nearly €18 million (€17,698,121) after 21 weeks in theaters.

In total, the weekend box office hit €4,989,490, down 19% compared to last week (€6,154,953), but up 61.84% from the same weekend in 2024.
