The 5th Rhodope International Documentary Film Fest will kick off in Smolyan on July 10 with the premiere of the Canadian film Agatha's Almanac. Running through July 13, this year’s edition is dedicated to the theme of food, exploring its journey from soil to table, CE Report quotes BTA

Twelve food-focused documentaries, including Georgia’s Blueberry Dreams by Elene Mikaberidze, will be featured. Some screenings will also be available online via the Neterra.TV+ platform.

The festival’s international competition includes films from around the world, with a spotlight on German and Polish productions. Awards for short, medium, and full-length documentaries will be presented by an international jury.
