Fashion designer Flavia Padovan unveiled her new Moda Mare 2025 collection with an original show held at a location iconic for sports: the Mosaics Pool of the CONI, built in the 1930s at the Foro Italico in Rome, with walls decorated with precious mosaics crafted by the Mosaic School of Friuli Venezia Giulia, CE Report quotes ANSA.

For the first time, the historic pool became the setting for a beachwear fashion show signed by Padovan.

The atmosphere resembled a summer happening, where the runway by the pool gave way to a performance in the water. The show opened with synchronized swimmers wearing an iconic one-piece swimsuit originally designed in the 1970s for Claudia Cardinale by Marisa Padovan, Flavia’s mother and founder of the custom beachwear brand that still bears her name.

The swimsuit was reimagined by Flavia Padovan for the occasion in a multicolored version.

Following the synchronized swimming routine – a tribute to the brand’s history, which pioneered beachwear couture in 1967 – came dives by international champion Matilde Marzetti, wearing a royal blue Olympic-style swimsuit embellished with macramé flowers. The unique design was created specifically to accommodate the dynamic nature of her athletic performance.

All this took place as models and friends of the brand walked poolside — women of various ages and nationalities, celebrating the beauty of diversity, highlighted by colorful, tailor-made creations.

Among the guests were Serena Bortone, Federica De Denaro, Nunzia De Girolamo, Paola Fendi, Ilaria Grillini, Rosanna Lambertucci, Monica Marangoni, Eliana Miglio, Katia Pedrotti, Michela Quattrociocche, and Silvia Salemi.
