Elon Musk offers to pay legal fees for Epstein victims

South African–born billionaire Elon Musk has offered to pay the legal fees of victims of convicted sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein who are being sued for telling the truth and publicly identifying clients of the sex-trafficking network, EFE reports.

“I will pay the defense costs of anyone who tells the truth about this and is sued for doing so,” Musk said in response to a post on the social media platform X that criticized victims for not revealing the names of those who abused them.

This exchange comes after an advertisement aired Sunday night during the Super Bowl, in which several women asked U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to “reveal the truth” about the Epstein files, which are in the possession of the Department of Justice, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

On January 30, the Department of Justice released three million pages of documents in the Epstein case, the last batch planned, which includes messages between the billionaire and prominent figures, including Musk and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

The interaction between Musk and Epstein dates back to 2012, when the Tesla and SpaceX owner asked the convicted sexual offender: “Which day/night will be the craziest party on your island?”

However, the message does not answer the question of whether the Tesla owner ever visited the private island of the accused sex trafficker.

Starting Monday, members of Congress were able to begin reviewing the unredacted versions of all the files related to the deceased sexual offender.

Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 in Florida to charges of soliciting prostitution from a minor. According to authorities, Epstein committed suicide in his cell at a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

The billionaire was friends with various high-profile figures, such as U.S. President Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton (1993–2001), but there is no evidence that they committed any crimes.

Last year, Trump publicly opposed the release of the Epstein documents, denouncing what he called a Democratic campaign against him, but later changed his position and signed the law allowing their publication.
