Consumer prices in North Macedonia increase across key sectors

In North Macedonia, the Consumer Price Index in November, compared to the same month in 2024, increased by four percent, while the Retail Price Index increased by three percent, said the State Statistical Office.

Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in November, compared to the previous month, was 0.5 percent, CE Report quotes MIA.

The increase in inflation is the result of the increase in the consumer prices in the following groups: Transport by 1.7%, Recreation and culture by 0.9%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.7%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.5%, Restaurants and hotels, Health by 0.3%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 0.2%, Communications, Clothing and footwear and Housing, water, gas and other fuels by 0.1%.

The consumer prices in the groups Miscellaneous goods and services and Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.

The Retail Price Index in November, compared to the previous month, rose by 0.6 percent.
