Hellenic Lawyers Summit Opens in Athens

President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas opened the 1st Global Summit of Hellenic Lawyers 2025, held under the theme “Defending Democracy, the Rule of Law, and Justice – Global Challenges and the Role of Artificial Intelligence.”

Tassoulas emphasized the need for legal systems to adapt to technological change, stating that law must not remain a bystander but rather shape tools to align innovation with democratic values. He called for institutional boldness, tech education, and global legal cooperation, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

The summit, organized by the Greek Bar Associations in partnership with legal groups from Australia, New York, and Cyprus, gathers lawyers from Greece and the diaspora to address AI’s impact on justice and rule of law.

The three-day event began at the Acropolis Museum and continues at the Athens Concert Hall.
