Minister of Labour and Social Security Niki Kerameus spoke at the "Brain Retain & Regain" conference about a major shift in the Greek labour market and the return of many Greeks who left during the crisis years. She highlighted efforts to boost employment, including 44 "Career Days" across 18 cities organized by the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) and the "Jobmatch" app, which connects job seekers with employers quickly, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Kerameus also noted improvements in working conditions thanks to the Digital Job Card, citing a 637% rise in declared overtime hours in the tourism sector last March. According to Eurostat, 420,000 of the 660,000 Greeks who emigrated in 2010 have now returned. Unemployment fell to 8.3% in April, signaling positive economic trends.
