The filing season runs from March 17 to July 15. As of April 30, over 3.16 million returns were submitted. Of these, 29.95% owe taxes (average €1,826), 25.02% are receiving refunds (average €298), and 45.03% break even. Notably, 7 in 10 taxpayers will not owe additional tax.

Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis credited the fast pace to successful digital reforms, noting that over half of those owed refunds have already been paid.
