Tax revenues exceeded expectations by €314 million (5.6%), with VAT contributing nearly half of the overperformance. The overall state budget balance showed a surplus of €758 million, significantly above the projected €200 million. However, it was lower than the €1.09 billion surplus recorded in January 2024.

It also noted that the reported figures reflect the primary balance of the Central Administration, excluding local government and public utilities.
