Fraport Greece Records Over 36 Million Passengers in 2024

Fraport Greece managed a record 36 million passengers in 2024 across its 14 regional airports, marking a 6.4% increase from 2023, with approximately 2.1 million additional travelers, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Domestic flights rose by 4.7% (86,026 flights), while international flights saw a 4.2% increase (190,315 flights), contributing to an overall 4.4% growth in flight activity.

Since 2016, when the concession began, passenger numbers have surged by 44.1%, growing from 25 million to over 36 million in 2024—an increase of more than 11 million passengers. Between 2017 and 2024, the airports handled over 212.5 million passengers, underscoring their role in boosting Greek tourism and sustainable development.

Even in December, traditionally a slower period, the airports recorded 805,056 passengers, a 6.7% rise compared to December 2023, demonstrating sustained growth in passenger traffic year-round.
