More than two million foreign tourists are expected in Bulgaria for the upcoming winter season, said caretaker Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev on Nova TV on Saturday. According to him, more than 3.2 million foreign visits are expected, including one-day and transit visits, CE Report quotes BTA

"The whole year the volume of tourism product, the tourism sector in general, is going up by about 5%," the Minister said. He noted that 2024 is shaping up to be the year with the best indicators. According to Miloshev, the geography of the flow of tourists to Bulgaria has changed. First, with the war in Ukraine, then with the tensions and conflicts in the Middle East. Romanian and Polish tourists predominate, and English tourists are expected for the winter season, Miloshev said, noting that the main profile of foreign tourists in Bulgaria is generally from neighbouring countries.
