Bulgaria, East Timor Deepen Ties

Radev praised Ramos-Horta—a Nobel Peace Prize laureate and prominent figure in East Timor’s democratic development—as a symbol of national independence and progress. He also emphasized Bulgaria’s support for East Timor’s ambitions in strengthening its economy, education, and infrastructure, as well as its path toward ASEAN membership and closer EU cooperation.
The two leaders highlighted the potential for deepening ties across multiple sectors and reaffirmed their countries’ active collaboration within the United Nations.
