UK royal witnesses Ukrainian veterans’ recovery efforts
Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko showed Princess Anne, a member of the British royal family, the rehabilitation process for Ukrainian defenders at the Medical Rehabilitation Center in Pushcha-Vodytsia.
Minister Klymenko reported this on Telegram, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
“This is a place where servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police officers, and rescuers, who have sustained injuries, receive modern medical and psychological care as well as support for reintegration into civilian life. I spoke about the innovative approaches we use in rehabilitation and the unique program for veterans with partial or total vision loss,” he said.
The minister emphasized that the strength of Ukrainian medical teams lies in their dedication and care for people, while the strength of Ukrainian soldiers lies in their resilience as they overcome challenges and recover step by step.
“We are grateful to our international partners for their attention to our defenders and their sustained support for Ukraine,” Klymenko added.
As reported, Princess Anne, sister of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, visited Ukraine on an unannounced trip and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska.
