Chair Airlines to launch Zurich–Vlorë flights

Vlorë International Airport (VIA) is expected to become another major gateway for all visitors choosing Albania for travel and leisure.

The Swiss airline Chair Airlines officially announced the launch of flights from Zurich (ZRH) to Vlorë (VLO), CE Report quotes ATA.

The first flight from this airline is scheduled for June 26, 2026.

In April 2025, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) assigned the airport code VLO to Vlorë Airport, allowing travel agencies to sell tickets on behalf of leading international airlines.

In May 2025, the airport also completed its first certification flight.

Vlorë International Airport will serve as the entry point to southern Albania and as a driver for tourism development. The airport will operate under more than three business models: civil aviation, aircraft maintenance, and full-scale cargo operations, and it will cover a 22,000-square-meter terminal.
