
Thessaloniki airport reveals top passenger nationalities
Thessaloniki airport "Makedonia" recorded a significant 7.3 percent increase in passenger traffic in the first seven months of 2025 in comparison with the same period in 2024, according to figures posted by Fraport on the airport's website on Wednesday (www.skg-airport.gr](http://www.skg-airport.gr).
A total of 4.36 million passengers travelled through the airport between January and July this year, compared to 4.07 million passengers during the same period in 2024, confirming that Thessaloniki is one of the country’s most active aviation hubs, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
Regarding domestic flight passengers, the positive year-on-year change for the seven-month period this year reached 3.8%, with 1,427,889 passengers travelling through Makedonia Airport, compared to 1,375,147 passengers the previous year.
In terms of nationals, the top five with the most passenger traffic were the Greeks, Germans, British, Cypriots and Italians.
