The U.S.-based artificial intelligence company xAI announced today a partnership with the government of El Salvador to launch the first national AI-powered education program.

xAI said that its Grok model will be deployed in more than five thousand public schools to provide teaching tailored to the curriculum for over one million students and to support thousands of teachers under the two-year initiative, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The company said the program aims to personalize learning according to the pace and needs of each student, while helping develop frameworks for the responsible use of AI in classrooms at a global level.

“El Salvador is not waiting for the future to happen; we are building it,” said El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, calling the project an example of the country’s efforts to “leap forward” through innovation.

Elon Musk, founder of xAI, said the partnership would place “the most advanced artificial intelligence directly into the hands of an entire generation,” as the country integrates Grok into its public education system.
