
University Rankings: Skopje Slips, Belgrade Rises
State university “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” - Skopje (UKIM) was not included among the top 2000 global universities in the latest ranking published by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).
According to the ranking, the five best universities in the world are Harvard, MIT, and Stanford from the United States, as well as Cambridge and Oxford from the United Kingdom, CE Report quotes MIA.
The University of Belgrade, meanwhile, is 387th in the ranking. According to the CWUR website, it is among the top 1.9% of the highest-ranked higher education institutions in the world.
CWUR’s ranking assesses the quality of education, alumni employment, quality of faculty, and research performance. The consulting organization has published annual rankings of universities since 2012.
In 2024, UKIM held the 1990th position on CWUR’s list.
