Lionel Messi continues to shine in MLS, scoring two goals and contributing to two more in Inter Miami’s dramatic 5–3 away win against Cincinnati.

The Argentine opened the scoring in the 24th minute, capitalizing on a poor clearance from Matt Miazga, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The hosts equalized through Kevin Denkey from the penalty spot late in the first half, while Pavel Bucha turned the game around immediately after the break to make it 2–1.

Messi responded again in the 55th minute, finishing a quick attacking move from the visitors after an assist from Rodrigo De Paul. However, Cincinnati regained the lead thanks to a stunning long-range goal from Brazilian midfielder Evander.

In the closing minutes, Inter Miami showed resilience. Messi assisted his compatriot Mateo Silvetti for the equalizer, before Mexican forward German Berterame scored to make it 4–3. The final goal came in the 89th minute, when Messi burst forward and his shot was deflected into the net by goalkeeper Roman Celentano for an own goal.

With this performance, the 38-year-old has reached 11 goals in 12 MLS matches this season, while Inter Miami has climbed to second place in the Eastern Conference with 25 points.
