Young Albanian lifter hailed as “Rising Star of Europe”
Enkileda Carja has once again proven her elite talent, securing two medals for Albania at the World Weightlifting Championships in Ismailia, Egypt.
Competing in the 69 kg category, the 18-year-old climbed the podium twice, highlighting her extraordinary potential on the world stage, CE Report quotes ATA.
Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports of Albania Blendi Gonxhja reacted after Carja’s victory, considering her as one of the most promising names in world weightlifting.
“The 18-year-old ‘Rising Star of Europe,’ Enkileda Carja, is setting unprecedented records and flying the red and black flag high,” said Gonxhja.
Gonxhja added that, “At the World Youth Championships held in Ismailia, Egypt, the Albanian athlete performed brilliantly in the 69 kg category, winning two precious medals for Albania, getting bronze in clean and jerk and total.”
Minister Gonxhja considered this a great success for the young Albanian athlete, who with her talent, strength and dedication is proving to be one of the most promising names in world weightlifting.
Albanian Weightlifting Federation President Elez Gjoza personally presented her medals, marking a proud moment for the entire delegation.
