Xabi Alonso criticises Real Madrid over player power

Xabi Alonso has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the way Real Madrid is managing its relationship with the players, emphasizing that the coach’s authority is being seriously undermined.

According to La SER, Alonso told the club’s executives today that it is unacceptable for players to be given so much power, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

He stressed that it is impossible for a coach to enforce rules and discipline in the locker room if the club consistently sides with the players. These statements are expected to increase tension within the club and spark discussions about the balance of power between the coach, the players, and the management.

As reported by CE Report, as Alonso’s replacement, Real Madrid immediately appointed Alvaro Arbeloa.
