Romanian volleyball team dominates Dutch side in first leg
Romanian volleyball team CSM Lugoj defeated Dutch side Friso Sneek with a clear 3–0 victory (25–22, 25–20, 25–21) on Wednesday evening in Sneek, in the first leg of the Challenge Cup preliminary round.
CSM Lugoj secured the win after one hour and 14 minutes of play, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
Yensy De la Caridad Kindelan Iznaga was the standout performer for the Romanian team, scoring 20 points, while Yelennis Diaz Cairo and Claudia Tarin Alarcon each added 10 points.
For the hosts, Maaike Heilig was the top scorer with 17 points.
The second leg will be played on November 5.
If CSM Lugoj advances past Friso Sneek, they will face German side SC Potsdam in the round of 32.
