Albania condemns Russia's ballistic missile attack on Ukraine's Lviv
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Elisa Spiropali, responded after Russia's recent ballistic missile attack with medium-range capabilities on the Lviv region in Ukraine, near the border with Poland.
Spiropali wrote on the social media platform X, CE Report quotes ATA.
"Albania strongly condemns Russia’s use of a medium-range ballistic missile against the Lviv region in Ukraine."
"A strike so close to the borders of the EU and NATO represents a serious escalation and threatens European and transatlantic security. Russia's fabricated narratives reveal the aggressive nature of its actions," emphasized the Foreign Minister.
Spiropali called for strong international measures and greater pressure on Moscow, adding,
"Albania remains unwavering in its support for Ukraine."
Russia used its medium-range missile with nuclear capability, the "Oreshnik," in an attack on Ukraine, reported the news agency TASS, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense. This is the second attack on Ukraine involving this weapon.
