Mass protests hit Budapest amid child abuse allegations

Tens of thousands of people protested in Budapest, Hungary.

The demonstrations were sparked by allegations that the government of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán failed to act on accusations of child abuse in state institutions, CE Report quotes STA.

The protests were called by opposition leader Péter Magyar, considered Orbán’s most serious political challenger.
