Trump signs law to release Epstein files
Donald Trump has announced that he has signed the law authorizing the release of the Epstein files, after having opposed it for months.
In a lengthy message on his social platform Truth Social, the former U.S. president accuses Democrats of hiding the truth about the wealthy financier who died in prison in 2019 before his trial for sexual offenses, CE Report quotes ANSA.
“Jeffrey Epstein, indicted by Trump’s Department of Justice in 2019 (not by the Democrats!), was a lifelong Democrat, donated thousands of dollars to Democratic politicians, and was deeply connected to many well-known Democratic figures such as Bill Clinton (who flew on his plane 26 times), Larry Summers (who just resigned from many boards, including Harvard), the corrupt political activist Reid Hoffman, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (who asked Epstein to donate to his campaign after Epstein was indicted), Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett, and many others. Perhaps,” he continues, “the truth about these Democrats and their ties to Jeffrey Epstein will soon come out, because I just signed the law for the release of the Epstein files.”
