Prime Minister of Slovenia Robert Golob will tie the knot with his partner of three years Tina Gaber on 6 September.

After much speculation the couple confirmed the happy news with a joint Instagram post that featured a photo of them with the caption "You, Me. Us" and a ring emoji, CE Report quotes The Slovenia Times.

Speculation about the wedding surfaced in mid-August when the news portal 24ur learned about it unofficially, reporting that Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Janković, a close political ally of Golob, would be officiating.

The rumours were first confirmed by Janković himself, who said he would indeed marry the couple, and now the news is official.

The prime minister's office has confirmed the wedding date to the Slovenian Press Agency, saying that the ceremony will be private with no media coverage or foreign officials in attendance.

"No foreign officials will attend the event, as their presence would compromise its private nature and trigger additional costs for the state...," the office wrote, adding that the couple would cover all the wedding expenses themselves.

According to unofficial information, they will get married in Strunjan, a charming little village on the coast.
