Androulakis Urges Youth to Lead Political Change
PASOK-KINAL leader Nikos Androulakis called on young Greeks to take an active role in politics and challenge what he described as a "conservative, clientelistic system" during the party's youth conference on Sunday at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia
He emphasized that political change is achievable, encouraging youth to give voice to the unheard and reject cynicism. Androulakis criticized Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and New Democracy, calling the government "a never-ending scandal" rooted in the same practices that led to Greece's financial collapse.
He urged young people—facing unemployment, inequality, and low wages—to reclaim hope and lead the country toward a progressive, democratic future. PASOK’s vision, he said, includes strong public health and education systems and a meritocratic public sector aligned with top European standards.
On international issues, Androulakis reaffirmed PASOK’s stance against both Russia's invasion of Ukraine and what he called "ethnic cleansing" by Israel in Gaza.
