Former Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu called the Moldova–EU Summit in Chișinău a historic moment, highlighting it as proof of strong European support for Moldova’s integration journey, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

“This summit is not just about declarations, but about our European future – about trust, mutual support, and concrete steps towards accession,” he said.

Popescu emphasized that EU membership promises peace, prosperity, modern infrastructure, quality public services, and equal opportunities. He urged continued commitment to the path of integration, stating, “Our future is European, and Europe awaits us with open arms.”
