
Denmark Begins EU Council Presidency Amid Support for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Aarhus for the official ceremony marking the start of Denmark's presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The Ukrainian leader's arrival was confirmed by the event organizers, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
The opening ceremony is to be attended by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and Denmark's King Frederik X and Queen Mary.
Denmark assumed the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union on July 1. The presidency will run until December 31, 2025.
