Moldova Seeks EU Backing for Accession
Moldova counts on the European Parliament’s support to advance its EU accession process, especially to open six negotiation clusters, said Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi during a meeting with EP Vice-President Nicolae Ștefănuță in Chișinău, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
The officials discussed Moldova’s progress on its European path. Popșoi thanked the EP for its recent resolution reaffirming support for Moldova’s EU ambitions and acknowledged the EU’s consistent financial aid and resilience-building efforts through the EU Growth Plan.
Popșoi also highlighted the importance of Moldova’s upcoming parliamentary elections on September 28, calling them a crucial test for the country’s democratic future and its continued EU integration.
