Parties Must Register by July 14 to Run

Politics

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has reminded political parties that, under recent legal amendments, they must submit detailed information on their central executive bodies to the Public Services Agency (ASP) by July 14, 2025 in order to participate in the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28.

Each party must register the names and roles of their president, vice-presidents, and executive members, as per their legal statutes. Failure to comply may lead to exclusion from the electoral process, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Changes to party statutes, programs, or leadership must be reported to ASP within 15 days of approval. Parties are also required to maintain and submit an up-to-date membership register to both CEC and ASP.

All submitted data will be published in the Official Journal and on ASP’s website, and forwarded to the National Integrity Authority. The CEC will only recognize data officially provided by ASP.

The electoral period begins on July 14, and non-compliant parties will be barred from running in the elections.
