Moldova has taken another important step toward EU membership, completing the screening meetings for cluster 6, External Relations, and reaching the halfway point in its accession negotiations. The European Union Delegation in Moldova confirmed the achievement and highlighted that future discussions will focus on clusters 3 (Competitiveness and inclusive growth), 4 (Green agenda and sustainable connectivity), and 5 (Natural resources, agriculture, and cohesion), CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

This progress will help Moldova align its legislation with EU standards and unlock new economic and social opportunities. Recently, three key negotiation chapters were reviewed in Brussels: Chapter 28 on Consumer and Health Protection, Chapter 6 on Company Law, and Chapter 31 on Foreign, Security, and Defense Policy.

Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the teams involved and emphasized the country’s continued determination in the process.
