Moldova and Ukraine Discuss Regional Security in Chisinau

Chisinau hosted a meeting between Moldova’s State Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Sergiu Mihov, and Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Olexandr Mischenko, to discuss regional security and bilateral cooperation, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

According to Moldova’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, the officials focused on collaboration within international organizations, including the UN and GUAM, while also addressing recent security developments. Mihov reaffirmed Moldova’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and reiterated the country’s commitment to assisting Ukraine against Russian aggression.

The discussions also highlighted Moldova and Ukraine’s shared goal of European integration, based on democratic values.

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, launched on February 24, 2022, remains the largest conflict in Europe since World War II, causing significant military and civilian casualties.
