
Greek PM Mitsotakis to Meet French President Macron
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday at 15:15 local time, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis announced during a press briefing, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian
The leaders will review Greek-French relations and discuss European and regional matters, focusing on the Eastern Mediterranean and Syria.
Mitsotakis will also engage with executives and scientists in the field of artificial intelligence before attending a summit dinner in the evening. Meanwhile, civil protection services remain on high alert due to ongoing seismic activity in the sea region between Thera and Amorgos.
Marinakis also noted that the draft law on enhancing amateur and professional sports, submitted by Alternate Minister for Sports Yiannis Vroutsis, has been approved with broad consensus.
Additionally, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has announced an international tender for 125 new electric buses for Athens, as part of the government’s initiative to modernize the city's transport fleet with eco-friendly and accessible vehicles.
Finally, the Flyover project in Thessaloniki remains on schedule, with completion expected by May 2027.
