Stradner accuses Vučić of manipulating Serbia’s protests

Politics

American analyst Ivana Stradner has reacted to the recent protests in Serbia, stating that President Aleksandar Vučić is creating a narrative for the West that the protests are anti-Western and that students support a war in the Balkans, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

"Be careful! Vučić is creating a narrative for the West that the protests in Serbia are anti-Western and that students support a war in the Balkans! Vučić wants to portray himself as a pillar of stability and convince the West that there is no security in the Balkans without him. This is exactly how the Georgian dream blackmailed the West. Same playbook. You will soon see this story in the information space," she wrote on social media platform X.

For more than two months, Serbian students have been protesting and blocking faculties in the country in protest against the socio-political situation.
