Türkiye Welcomes Gaza Cease-Fire, Hopes for Lasting Peace

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed Türkiye's hope that the recently announced Gaza cease-fire will pave the way for enduring peace and stability for Palestinians, the region, and humanity. Sharing his message on X, Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye’s solidarity with the people of Gaza, emphasizing the country's commitment to mobilize resources to help the region recover, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Erdogan praised the resilience of Gazans, commending their defense of their land and freedoms against what he called Israel's "unlawful and inhumane attacks." He also reiterated Türkiye's longstanding support for Palestinians in their fight against oppression.

The cease-fire agreement, brokered through international mediation, was announced by Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman. It is set to take effect this Sunday.
