ENI returns to F1 as official energy and fuel partner

Energy

Energy giant ENI and the Renault Group have signed an agreement to identify and develop future opportunities for collaboration in the decarbonisation of the transport sector as the Italian company returns to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, becoming the team's Official Energy and Fuel Partner on a multi-year agreement, according to a joint statement, CE Report quotes ANSA.

"Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will work towards identifying joint business development paths across various sectors, including electric mobility infrastructure, smart mobility services, and energy supply solutions that can support the transition process", said the joint statement.

The accord also marks ENI's return to an Enstone-affiliated team since the group's last involvement with an F1 team, Benetton, in 2000, the statement said.

The team will cooperate with ENI to activate its Enilive brand at select races throughout the 24-race season, per the note.
