Italian Culture Days come to Bulgaria
The Palace Cultural Center in Balchik, Bulgaria, will be hosting Italian Culture Days under the theme “Carnivals – Italy” on February 21–22. The event is part of a project titled “Balchik – Stage of World Cultures”.
Organized with the support of the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Varna and the European Renaissance Art Foundation, the program focuses on Italy’s carnival traditions, with a special emphasis on the Venetian Carnival, one of Europe’s oldest and most iconic festivals, CE Report quotes BTA.
Visitors can explore the history and symbolism of Italian carnivals, Italian language and cuisine, and enjoy musical and dance performances, traditional costume and mask demonstrations, educational formats, and interactive activities. Highlights include an Italian cuisine and music evening on February 21 and an Italian language class with quiz and prizes, a pasta-making workshop, and a guided tour “Secrets of the Palace” the next day.
The “Balchik – Stage of World Cultures” project aims to showcase diverse national cultures through art, traditions, and customs, with plans to continue expanding future editions.
