The female group Blackpink will return on February 27 with its third EP, titled Deadline, its first album since Born Pink, released in September 2022, the group’s agency YG Entertainment announced on Thursday, according to EFE and Yonhap.

YG Entertainment announced the K-pop group’s comeback through a video published on YouTube and other social media platforms, mentioning only the release date and the album title Deadline, which shares its name with the group’s current world tour that concludes this month in Tokyo and Hong Kong, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

The release of Deadline had initially been scheduled for 2025 but was postponed to this year.

As reported by CE Report, in July last year, Blackpink released the hit single Jump, but since late 2022 the group’s members have largely focused on solo projects, such as Eyes Closed by Jisoo and British artist Zayn Malik, released in October.

“We sincerely thank fans for their patience throughout the long wait,” YG said in a statement quoted by Yonhap, promising to reward fans with “high-quality music.”
