LADO launches Christmas concert tour in Croatia, Switzerland

LADO, the National Folk Dance Ensemble of Croatia, will conclude its season with Christmas concerts across Croatia and in Switzerland, with the premiere taking place in Zurich on 6 December.

The concerts will be staged in several Croatian regions, from Dalmatia and northern Croatia to Slavonia, Baranja and Bačka, CE Report quotes HINA.

In Switzerland, LADO will perform in Zurich, Basel (7 December) and Lucerne (8 December). The international tour has been organised by the Croatian Catholic Mission in Basel, with support from the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media and the Central State Office for Croats Abroad.

Workshops will also be held with HKUD Basel. After Switzerland, LADO will perform in Sinj on 13 December, as well as in Topusko and Petrinja. A traditional concert will take place in Varaždin on 18 December, with the final performance on 20 December in the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua in Zagreb.

The concert was designed by artistic director Zrinka Posavec, and it will be conducted by Jurica Petar Petrač. Entry to all concerts is free, except for the one in Varaždin Cathedral.
