Moldova strengthens cultural ties with Israel and Kazakhstan
Moldova and Israel will cooperate in the field of cinematography. An agreement on film productions will be signed between the two states.
This assurance was given by the Culture Minister Cristian Jardan has made statements to this effect, who had a meeting with Ambassador of the State of Israel to Moldova Yoram Elron, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
“We are in the final stages of signing an agreement on film co-productions, which will facilitate cooperation between film studios from both countries,” the minister noted on his Facebook page.
The minister emphasized that Moldova had substantial projects in the field of culture signed with the State of Israel. The two officials referred to projects carried out in recent years: exhibitions dedicated to Jewish heritage, museum collaborations, involvement of experts in research and conservation of heritage.
Moldova has signed an agreement with Israel in the fields of culture, education, science, youth and sports, as well as a protocol on the mutual establishment of cultural centers.
Also today, the culture minister had a meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Almat Aidarbekov.
During the discussions, the sides analyzed ongoing projects and how they can be expanded.
“We discussed the mutual interest in connecting cultural institutions from Kazakhstan and Moldova through direct partnerships, mobility programmes and the exchange of expertise in such areas as restoration, digitization of collections, and cultural programmes’ development,” noted the minister.
At the same time, the officials addressed the strengthening of cultural ties with the descendants of Stalinist repressions’ victims born on the current territory of Moldova and who settled in Kazakhstan.
