Nadeen Ayoub to Represent Palestine at Miss Universe
Nadeen Ayoub will be the first contestant to represent Palestine at the Miss Universe pageant, scheduled for November in Thailand, CE Report quotes ANSA.
"I’m honored to announce that, for the first time ever, Palestine will be represented at Miss Universe," said the 27-year-old model living in Dubai, in an Instagram video where she wears a traditional Palestinian dress.
"As Palestine suffers—especially in Gaza—I carry the voice of a people who refuse to be silenced. I represent every Palestinian woman and child, whose strength the world must see. We are more than our suffering: we are resilience, hope, and the heartbeat of a homeland that lives through us," she added in the post.
As Gulf News recalls, Nadeen was the first Palestinian to compete in Miss Earth in 2022, ranking in the top five.
A psychology student, she has worked to raise awareness about the collapse of mental health services in Gaza and the hardships faced by children growing up amid conflict.
